Mildred A. VanAuken, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Lorien BelAir Nursing Facility.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles R. VanAuken, her daughters, Donna Warsal, and husband Nabil, Jean Adams and husband Patrick, Susan Wald and husband Jonathan and stepdaughters, Margaret Benton and family and AJ Smith. She is survived by 5 grandchildren, John Lauren, Jonathan, Cheryl, Elizabeth and David and a brother Howard Espey of Ocala, FL.
She was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Haley in 1984.
A visitation with family, followed by a memorial service will be held on Saturday the 28th from 1-3 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, MD 21117.
Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be sent to her church, Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1518 N. Rolling Rd., Baltimore, MD 21228.
