Miranda “Betty” Elizabeth Flohr

Miranda "Betty" Elizabeth Flohr, 95, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Golden Crest in Westminster, MD. Born on January 22, 1926, in Branford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Merritt Isaac and Miranda Agnes Whittington Hartson. She was the beloved wife of the late Sterling Flohr, who passed away in 2008.

Betty worked as a cafeteria worker for Baltimore County Public Schools. She was a member of the Reisterstown United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star on Belair Road. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and spending time with her grandkids.

Surviving her are children: Joan E. Boone of Hampstead, MD, Thomas S. Flohr and wife Cynthia of Reisterstown, MD, and Kathleen A. Hopkins and husband Samuel of Finksburg, MD, grandchildren: John S. and Christa Boone, Jeffrey E. Boone, Traci E. and Nicholas Schissler, Krista L. Hopkins, and Lee Thomas Flohr, and great-grandchildren: Jackson, Lauryn and Brooklyn Boone, and Maquela and Kendyl Schissler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was predeceased by her brothers: Merritt and Edward Hartson.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 3 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, June 4 at 11 am.

Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
