Miriam Elizabeth Armacost, 88, of Upperco formerly of Trenton died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Dove House in Westminster.
Born March 4, 1925 in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late George Barnhart and wife Margaret and Olive Frederick and husband William. She was the former wife of the late J. William Armacost, whom she was married to for 22 years.
She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was owner and operator for 45 years of Loraine Salon of Beauty in Hanover, PA. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter Brenda A. Craft and husband Allen; her grandchildren Shawn Craft and wife Kimberly of Hampstead; William Craft and wife Andrea of Shadyside, and Clay Craft of Manchester; her great grandchildren Aaron, William, Timmy, Sarah, and Jason Craft; and her brother Richard Barnhart and wife Joan of Deale Island.
She was predeceased by her sister Louise Barnhart.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16530 Trenton Church Road, Upperco with her pastor The Rev. Michael C. Adams officiating.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel, Manchester.
Interment will be 11 a.m. Monday in Hampstead Cemetery.
