Myrna Winifred McDermott, 91, of Hampstead, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born on August 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Winifred Graham. She was the wife of the late Dr. Anthony Leo McDermott, who passed away in 2011.

Myrna was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church and a former member of Sacred Heart Parish in Monticello, Iowa.

Surviving her are children: Maureen Dawson of Texas, Kevin McDermott of Iowa, Sean McDermott of California, Patrick McDermott of Silver Spring, MD, Kelley A. Jankowski of Hampstead, MD, Shannon Smearman of Severna Park, MD, and Mary Dooney of New Jersey; 30 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A Requiem Mass will follow, 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD. Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
