Myrtle Helen Johns age 84 of Hanover, PA. formally of Manchester, MD. entered in Gods eternal care Saturday Feb. 2, 2008 at the Utz Terrace Retirement Complex in Hanover, PA.
Born May 10, 1923 in Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Guy David and Cora Virginia Kebil Sanders. She was the wife of the late Earl Charles Johns who died in 1996.
She was a dedicated employee for Black & Decker for close to 20 years. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Manchester, MD. She had lived with her son and daughter in law prior to living at Utz Terrace. She will be sadly missed by her family.
She is survived by her son: Leroy Charles Johns and wife Judi of Hanover, PA. Grandchildren: Kelly Lynn Messinger and husband Todd and Kathy Lorraine Fraim and husband Shawn both of Hanover, PA. Great grandchildren: Julia Fraim, Christopher Messinger, Shawn Eric Fraim, Jr. and Colin Messinger. Sister: Doris M. Smith of Hanover, PA. Brothers: Harold J. Sanders of Westminster, MD., and Donald B. Sanders of Glen Rock, PA. and She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by Sisters: Emma Mae Wagner, Margaret Madeline Reaver, Mary A. and Mary E. Sanders. Brothers: Paul G. Sanders, Wilbur F., Eugene D., Henry J. and Richard H. Sanders.
A funeral service will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Thursday Feb. 7, 2008 at 2:00 pm. with Fr. Michael Roach of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church officiating.
Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. and on Thursday from 1:00pm. until the time of service at the funeral chapel.
