Myrtle Ruth Porter, age 101, of Finksburg passed peacefully Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.
Born December 17, 1912 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Shade Ratliff and Mariha Cox Ratliff. She was the wife of James
Woodrow Porter, who died in 1996.
She enjoyed quilting, painting, and spending time with her family.
Surviving is her daughter Joann Coale and husband Michael; her grandchildren Joseph David Coale, James Michael Coale, and Tracey Lynn Miller; her 7 great-grandchildren; her 5 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings Blake Ratliff, Gladys Griffith, Edith Bauguess, and Helen Davis.
She was predeceased by 8 siblings.
The family will receive friends 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, December 7, at
the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills where a funeral service will be held 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating.
Private interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
