Nancy Evelyn Doten, 62, of Sykesville formerly of Randallstown died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Fairhaven Retirement Community in Sykesville.

Born April 18, 1951 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Russell Wills Doten, Sr., and Hettie Marilyn "Jackie" Puckett Doten.

Years ago she was a clerk for Goodwill Industries in the Sheltered Workshop.

She was a former member of the Church of the Holy Apostles, Arbutus and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Sykesville. She was a current resident of the Fairhaven Retirement Community. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, Post 521 and American Legion, Post 122 both in Owings Mills.

In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo, working puzzles, plastic craft, painting pottery and ceramics and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are her siblings and
spouses Carol Pfab of Burlington, NC, Sharon and Tom Schwartz of Sykesville, E. James Warfield of Reisterstown, and Russell W., Jr. and Janice Doten of Taneytown; her nephews and spouses George Fritz and Carol Pfab, and James and Michele Schwartz, her nieces and spouses Elizabeth "Beth" and Cody Plog, Melinda and Joey Salkeld, Candice and Tim Salkeld, and Tracey Gunn; her great nieces and nephews Alison and Ashley Schwartz, Jordan and Brody Salkeld, and Camden Plog; her brother-in-law Mike Gunn; and sister-in-law Darlene Doten.

She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy "Dot" Gunn; her brother Edward W. "Dutch" Doten; her brother-in-law Frank Prince; and her sister-in-law Yvonne Warfield.

The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with a funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fairhaven Chapel, 7200 3rd Avenue, Sykesville at the Fairhaven Retirement Community with her pastor the Rev. Fr. Wayne H. Larson officiating.

Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
