Nancy Lee Hughes Lynch, 74 years old of Eldersburg, died Monday, September 28, 2009 at her home.

Born April 24, 1935 at the Georgetown Medical Center in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Rupert Earl Hughes and Marjorie Lee Fisher Hughes.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, C. Robert Lynch, Jr.

Mrs. Lynch came to Sunny Hill Farm in 1940 and grew up in Glyndon. She attended Sacred Heart School, St. Charles School in Pikesville and graduated from Towson Catholic High School in 1953. She received an Associate of Arts degree from Catonsville Community College. She had worked in the offices of Doctor's Bryce Smith, DDS; Gene Goldstein, MD and Stanley Katz, MD as well as being a homemaker.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glyndon, the Chesapeake Region Antique Auto Club and the Carroll County Historical Society. She was an officer of the Reisterstown Jaycee-ettes.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew J. and Cindy Lynch of Manassas, VA and P. Dennis and Cassendre Lynch of Orange, CA., 4 grandchildren, Benjamin M., Tyler M., Patrick J. and Francesca Lynch and 3 brothers, David E. Hughes of Ocean Pines, Bob Hughes of Stanwood, MI. and Dan Hughes of Reisterstown.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday 10:00 AM. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon. Rev. Msgr. Lloyd E. Aiken officiating. Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
