Nellie Mae Hann, 94, of Lineboro, died Thursday October 10, 2013 at her home.
Born September 29, 1919 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late George W. Martin and Rachel B. Carr Martin. She was the devoted wife of Vernon L. Hann, who on Christmas Eve, would have been married 75 years and have lived in the same home for 70 years.
She was 1936 graduate of Manchester High School. She was member of Lazarus United Church of Christ for 65 years, where she taught Sunday school for 50 years and was involved with the Women's Guild. She was a member of the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Years ago she was involved in Youth for Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children Robert Hann and wife Janet of Hanover, PA., Ronald Hann and wife Gwyneth of Hampstead, Richard Hann and wife Cheryl of Lineboro, and Susan Hann of Lineboro; her grandchildren Donna Garrison and husband Steve of Dover, PA., David Hann of Hampstead, Ronald Hann, II and wife Bobbie of Manchester, Jeffrey Hann and wife Alexandra of Columbia, Andrew Hann of Los Angeles, CA, and Rachel Hann of Pikesville; her great grandchildren Remington, Shelby, Robbie and Ronnie, III; and also survived by a brother Leroy Martin and wife Rosalie of Hampstead.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr. Manchester and from 10 a.m. Monday until time of funeral service, 11 a.m., Lazarus United Church of Christ, 5101 S. Church St., LIneboro with her pastor Rev. Sam Chamelin officiating.
Interment will be in Lineboro Cemetery.
