Nellie Gertrude Thompson age 89 of Reisterstown, MD. died Friday Sept. 4,2009 at her home.
Born March 28,1920 in Maryland she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Bull Matthews. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Thompson.
She was a housewife and enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter: Lucy Marie Krebs of Reisterstown, MD. Grandchildren: Vicki Hudnall, Susan Martin,Linda Harris, Scott Thompson, Randy Thompson and Richard Troyer, Jr. and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by children: Barbara Elizabeth, Donald and John "Cliff" Thompson and was the last of 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Wednesday Sept. 9,2009 at 11:00 am. with the Rev. Ron Surratt officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Upperco, MD.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
