Nevin Millard Utz

Nevin Millard Utz, 88, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Hanover, PA. Born on August 10, 1938, in Hampstead, MD, he was the son of the late Millard Utz and Treva (Kleindinst) Utz. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Nancy Carolyn Utz.

Nevin worked as a line specialist at Black & Decker for 29 years. Afterward, he worked at Random House until his retirement. He cherished time with his family and loved traveling all over the world with his wife, Nancy. He also enjoyed photography and gambling.

Surviving him in addition to his wife is his son: John Utz, and granddaughter: Cindy. He is also survived by his siblings: Wilbert Utz and Maretta Warner, and many nieces and nephews.

Nevin was predeceased by his brothers: Maynard, Clyde, Francis, and Marlin.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 21, from 5-7 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.

Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nevin’s name may be offered to St. Marks Lutheran Church of Snydersburg, 1616 Cape Horn Road, Hampstead, MD 21074.
