Owen L. Butterworth, 85 years old of Reisterstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2015.
Born July 17, 1929, he was the cherished son of the late Radye and Otie Butterworth and the loving husband of the late Frances Elva Butterworth.
Owen was a proud veteran, serving honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, a master mechanic, a mason and above all he was a dependable friend and dedicated family man.
Owen was predeceased by 5 sisters and 1 brother.
He is survived by his children and daughter-in-law: Jenny Urbanek, Sue Ruby and her spouse, Jan Wilson, Nancy Butterworth and Joseph Butterworth. He was the grandfather of 8 and the doting great grandfather of 11.
Friends may call on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where services will be held on Saturday the 10th at 10:00 AM.
Interment in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
