Eugene Earl Woodhouse, 63, of Manchester died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at his home.
Born Aug. 15, 1944, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Paul and Jeannette Bowen Woodhouse. He was the husband of Phyllis Lea Eikenberg Woodhouse, his wife of 42 years.
He was the pastor of Hanover Bible Baptist Church in Hanover, Pa., and was the owner of The Computer Shop on Maiden Lane in Manchester. He enjoyed living in Manchester for 30 years.
He was active member of the Manchester Area Merchants Association. He enjoyed working in his yard, wildlife, his tractor, thunderstorms and rain, gospel music, computers and spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter and her fiancé Holly Elizabeth Woodhouse of Catonsville and Scott Alan Hammonds of Damascus; brothers Ronald and Terry Woodhouse, both of Baltimore; and sisters Patricia Hess and Dorothy Mitchell, both of Glen Burnie.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with the Rev. Walter Larkins Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
