Pastor Donald Neal Holman of Westminster, Maryland met Jesus face to face on November 4, 2013. He was 69 years of age.
Pastor Don was born in Randallstown on November 16, 1943 to Ira and Mary Holman, with siblings William, Nancy, Gail, Jerry and Tommy. He graduated from Milford Mill High School and subsequently attended the New York School of Photography, Washington Bible College and Capital Bible Seminary over a span of many years.
While Pastor Don endeavored in various careers in his early years, his true calling was realized as the Pastor and Teacher of Reisterstown Bible Church where he shepherded God's people for over thirty years.
Beyond the Church congregation, Pastor Don touched thousands of people's lives through individual and couples spiritual counseling, founding and directing the Right Start Daycare Center, supporting missionaries throughout the world and the simple, so often neglected and avoided, everyday interactions with people in the community he endeavored to encounter. This is not an ordinary fact sheet about the life of Donald Neal Holman because Pastor Don was an extraordinary man.
Upon Pastor Don's "retirement" in 2011, he founded a new ministry, Reisterstown Bible International, a private foundation committed to funding third world Pastors around the globe to maximize the spreading of the Gospel to those eager to heed God's call.
Implemented by those men and women who sat under his teaching at Reisterstown Bible Church, the future divine impact of this foundation will be Pastor Don's legacy in his death.
Pastor Don is survived first and foremost by his dear, beautiful Wife of 49 years, Leslie.
He would have been the first to tell you that without her love, loyalty and support throughout his life and ministry, he was nothing. With her, he was able to accomplish great things for the Lord.
He is also survived by his sister Gail Nunnally, his children Dawn Pfaff and Dusky Holman and their spouses John Wall and Kay Holman, his grandchildren Laura, Maddie, Alex, Liam and Lily Wynn, other family and friends, and all of his brothers and sisters in Christ.
Pastor Don made only one specific request to his Wife, Leslie, to be included in his obituary, a request she promised to honor. It occurred and was witnessed that Donald Neal Holman accomplished a hole-in-one on the par 3, 5th hole at the Green Course of Wakefield Valley Golf Course! Promise honored.
