Pastor Peter W.T. Whitting, 63 years old of Pikesville, MD., died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his home.
Born June 4, 1946 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Rose (Fraser) Whitting.
Peter was the husband of Charlotte Ann Whitting (nee Cordell).
Mr. Whitting pastored the New Life Fellowship congregation of Baltimore, MD for the last ten years of his thirty-eight years in ministry. He was an accomplished artist and an adjunct professor of painting and drawing at Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Thomas, Marc, Jonathan and Benjamin Whitting, one granddaughter, Victoria and a brother Michael and wife, Carolyn Whitting of Australia.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd., Owings Mills, MD where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. David Stonesifer and Steve Gerrard officiating.
Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to "The Peter Whitting Memorial Scholarship Fund" to be established at the Frederick Community College Art Department .
