Paul Dennis Funk

Paul Dennis Funk, 67, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Born September 6, 1949 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Godfrey F. and Jeanne D. Funk. He was the husband of Barbara A. Funk.

Paul was a dedicated State Farm agent for 37 years. He won numerous awards, including the Crystal of Excellence. He was also a devoted member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.  Some of his hobbies included golf, jazz, and watching westerns, but his favorite pastime was coaching baseball and soccer for his sons. He loved his family, especially his children, and his grandson, Duke.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Christopher P. (Lindsey), Nicholas A., Joseph M. and Julie M., grandson: Duke Christopher Funk, siblings: Lawrence G. (Mary), William (Pam), James F., Thomas F., Robert L., Carol Ann Porter (William), Margaret C. McAvan (Robert), Mary Ellen Sturgeon (William), and many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 21, at 10 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Ln, Glyndon, MD 21071. Interment to follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
