Paul Vernon Merkel

Paul Vernon Merkel, 82, of Westminster, MD, passed away on March 7, 2021 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD.  Born on April 4, 1938, in Sparks, MD, he was the son of the late Paul Eugene and Margaret Croft Merkel.  He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Emma Finnegan Merkel, who passed on January 29, 2021.

Years ago, Vernon worked for the American Tote Company as a Machinist. He also served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his children: Verna-Leigh Kraus and husband Michael, Paul E. Merkel II and wife Victoria, and George Carroll Merkel and wife Laura, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment are private.
