Paul Henry Shaffer

Paul Henry Shaffer, age 87, of Berkeley Springs, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA,

Born October 23, 1937 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Walter Herman and Viola Ruth Brown Shaffer.

Paul was an equipment operator, working in construction and excavating.  He loved taking care of his beloved wife, Mary.  He also enjoyed mowing and spending time at Dennis's shop.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Bess Shaffer, one son, Dennis R. Shaffer, five grandchildren, John St.Clair, Brittney Shaffer, Brooke Younker, Thomas Shaffer II and Alece Farris, eleven great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Asher, Allison, Annie, Abby, Izzy, Taylor, Jasmine, Khali, Teegan and Jamasia   and one sister, Margaret Morelock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Paul Shaffer in 2017.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, from 12-1 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm.

Interment to follow in Deer Park Cemetery, 2200 Sykesville Road, Smallwood, MD.
