Philip James Patten, Jr. "Phil" of Reisterstown, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Born November 26, 1921 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Philip James Patten, Sr. and Mabel Coster Patten.
He was the husband of Beatrice "Bea" Cullison Patten.
Mr. Patten was a graduate of Baltimore City College High School. He served honorably with the U.S. Navy during WW II. Mr. Patton held a C.P.A. Degree from the University of Baltimore. He retired as Sr. Auditor with Baltimore Gas and Electric after 45 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his two children and their spouses, Stephen and Joyce Patten of Davidsonville and Carol and Rick Dorsey of Finksburg, 4 grandchildren, Ryan Patten currently serving in Iraq, Courtney Dorsey, Jason Patten and Jordan Dorsey, and his sister, Mollie Shearer of Mt. Carmel, TN.
He was predeceased by his daughter Nancy Patten and a grandson, Justin Dorsey.
Friends may call on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Interment in Lorraine Park Cemetery.
