Preston Albert Hare, 79, of Westminster died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.
Born in Millers on September 16, 1929, he was the son of the late Harvey Sylvester Hare and Florence Mildred Shaffer Hare.
He was a material handler for Pillowtex Company.
Surviving him is his sisters Gladys Hare of Lineboro and Mabel Hare of Westminster; his brother Robert Hare of Manchester; and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Blanche Krebs and Rosella Stonesifer and his brothers Ernest Hare an Arthur Hare.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with Pastor Sam Chamelin officiating.
Interment will be in Middletown Methodist Cemetery in Middletown.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to American Diabetes Association, 800 Wyman Park Drive, Suite 110, Baltimore, MD 21211.
