Ralph Bennet Walter, Sr.

Ralph Bennet Walter, Sr., 101, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at BridgingLife at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD. Born on August 8, 1920 in Reisterstown, MD, he was the son of the late Oden Bowie Walter and Mary Belinda Wirts Walter. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucy Lurlie Walter, who passed away in 2006.

For many years, Ralph worked on his family farm.

Surviving him are children: Linda Walter-Martin of Upperco, MD, Robert "Bob" Walter of Reisterstown, MD, Lurlie Walter of Hagerstown, MD, and Richard Walter of Upperco, MD. Ralph is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by children: Bennet Walter, Jr. and Lois Walter, and siblings: Charles Walter, George Walter, Edna Stocksdale, Anna Sprinkle, and Jane Osborn.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 5, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.

Funeral service and interment in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Upperco, MD, will be private.
