Ramona Larue Brown

Ramona LaRue Brown, 94, of Westminster, passed away due to natural causes peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Born on July 14, 1928, in Oakland Mills, MD, she was the daughter of the late John and Violet Elizabeth Staubitz (Becraft). She was the wife of the late Arthur "Art" Brown who died in 1978.

Ramona worked as a Store Associate at Walmart. She enjoyed bingo, poker, scratch offs, and going to Charles Town and Atlantic City. She also loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters: Trudy E. Schaeffer of Manchester and Terry Lynn Porter of New Port Richey, FL, grandchildren: Michael Wathen (Jennifer), Tina Marie Fringer, Kat Chrismer (Adam), great-grandchildren: Kyle, Korey, Jade, Alana, Alexis, Damien, Bryanna, Abigail, and Katelyn, great-great-grandson Greyson, and sister: Barbara Hill of Finksburg.

She was predeceased by her sisters: India Mills and Iris Brown, and sons-in-law Edgar Schaeffer and David Wayne Porter.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. 21102.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville.
