Raymond Levin, 87 years old of Reisterstown, died Saturday November 8, 2014 at the Berkley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Born July 30, 1927 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Samuel Levin and Anna Warshawski Levin. He was the husband for 42 years of Kathleen Mehring Levin. His first marriage to Shirley Feldman Levin, ended in divorce.
He was a graduate of Forest Park High School in Baltimore and attended business school. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII. After the war, he was the owner/operator of Fairway Motors in Owings Mills. He enjoyed golfing along with his buddies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Sherie Levin, Steven Levin and Kelly Levin Colon grandchildren: Matthew, Kyle and Jordan Levin and Eli Colon, nephews: Myron, Alan and Bob Sandler, Murray, Joel, and Philip Levin, George Mehring and a niece: Nichole Mehring Wyatt, his sister: Selma Sandler, and his brother the late Sigmund Levin. Also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014, 2:00 PM at the Woman's Club of Glyndon, 4627 Butler Rd., Glyndon, MD 21071. A reception will immediately follow.
