Raymond M. Peregoy, Sr.

Raymond M. Peregoy, Sr., 90 of New Oxford, PA. formerly of Finksburg, MD. passed Tuesday August 29, 2017 at the Hanover General Hospital in Hanover, PA. Born Feb. 21, 1927 in Reisterstown, MD, he was the son of the late William Emory and Ethel Grace McCleary Peregoy. He was the husband of the late Frances Elizabeth Lentz Peregoy who passed in 2010.

Years ago, Raymond had worked for Ira C. Rigger Inc. in Cockeysville, MD. then for Hanna Building Systems. He was a WW II, Navy veteran and a member of the VFW Post 521 and the American Legion in Owings Mills, MD. He also was a Deacon for Reisterstown Fellowship Bible Church.

He is survived by his children; Donna L. Nutting of Finksburg, MD., Ruth Ann Reagan of Littlestown, PA., Raymond M. Peregoy Jr. of Finksburg, MD. and W. Emory Peregoy of Littlestown, PA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister; Alice Spurrier and step sister; Helen Barns Stacks.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Friday Sept. 1, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. with funeral services to be held on Saturday at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Evergreen Mem. Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
