Raymond W. Schmidt

Raymond W. Schmidt, 78, of Reisterstown died February 5, 2008 at The Gilchrist Center in Towson. He was born January 1, 1930 in Johnstown, PA and was the son of the late Otto and Lena Schmidt. He was the husband of the late Mary R. Schmidt, who passed away in 2006.


Mr. Schmidt was in the United States Marine Corp. from 1949 to 1952. He was later in employed as District Manager for a retail store.


Surviving him is his son and daughter in law Jeffrey and Lisa Schmidt of Reisterstown, his son in law Craig Smith, his grandchildren Shawn and Tiffany Smith and Courtney Schmidt.
A funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glyndon, 65 Sacred Hear t Lane, Glyndon with Monsignor Lloyd Aiken celebrating.

Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
