Rena Irene Davidson

Rena Irene Davidson, on February 16, 2021 went home into the arms of Jesus, Our Lord at the age of 79.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Hampstead, Maryland. The Service will be officiated by Rena's brother-in-law, Donald Wheeler.

Rena was born December 27,1941 to Samuel and Mary Wesley, of Reisterstown, Maryland.

Rena married Kenneth E. Davidson, Sr. on January 16, 1959 they met at a dance in high school in Reisterstown.

Rena worked as a homemaker for her three sons and in 1971 became a dental assistant. She worked as a dental assistant for Resh Family Dentistry and Dr. Gerald Title. Rena also worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Josue Larado and secretary for North West Baptist Church.

As her boys got older Rena provided in-home child care services helping parents with their children from birth to grade school and provided after school child care as well.

Rena always enjoyed gardening. She planted and tended beautiful flower gardens at their home. Rena raised and tended a large vegetable garden for the family. She enjoyed canning and freezing vegetables to include, making tomato ketchups and jellies.

Rena was a born again Christian and was an active church participant all her life. She sang in choirs, taught Sunday School, started children's choirs, organized luncheons and events and was an active Lady's Aid member.

Rena, known to her grandchildren as, Memaw, loved to get together with them as often as possible. She enjoyed attending all their activities and she especially enjoyed playing dominoes.
Rena was avid Orioles and Ravens fan.

Rena has 10 grandchildren; Ryan and wife Jessica, Jacquelyn and husband Mark, Elizabeth, Bradley and Wife McKenna, Bryce, Lindsey, Holly, Christian, Caroline, Shay and 3 great grandchildren, Finn, Thomas, and Mika.

Rena has numerous nieces and nephews.

Rena was married to her husband, Ken for over 60 years and is survived by three sons and their families; Kenneth, daughter-in-law, Jennifer, Thomas, daughter-in-law, Karen, Darrell and daughter-in-law, Cara. In addition, close family friend, Lisa.

She is also survived by her sister, Mary Strevig, brothers, Sam Wesley Jr., Francis Wesley and sister-in-law, Jackie. In addition, sister in-law, Janet Wheeler and brother-in-law, Donald Wheeler. Rena was predeceased in death by her father, Samuel Wesley and mother, Mary Wesley, her sister-in-law, Kathy Wesley, and brother- in -law, Ken Strevig.
