Richard Lee Brafford, 68, of Manchester passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born June 16, 1947 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Orlando Eugene Brafford and Violet O'Bryan. He was the husband of Nina Elizabeth Brafford, nee Bauerlien. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired plumber. In his spare time, he enjoyed NASCAR and western movies. In addition, to his wife he is survived by his daughters Deborah Gray of South Carolina and Julie Brafford of Florida; and his grandchildren Logan, Alex and Adam Gray.
The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Melvina Stricklin officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Brafford's name to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16530 Trenton Church Rd, Upperco, MD 21155.
