Richard Vincent Moon, 65, of Hampstead died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Born Sept. 30, 1942, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret Moon. He was the husband of Mary Faith Solomon Moon, his wife of 38 years.
He was the general sales manager for Ditch, Bower and Taylor, where he had been employed for more than 18 years.
He was a member of the Hampstead Board of Directors and worked closely with the mayor.
He had been to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., 15 times; and especially enjoyed Mickey Mouse.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are nieces Ronny Michille Wenger of White Marsh, Dawn Renee McCraw of Fort Stewart, Ga., and Shelly Huggins of Bel Air; and a nephew, Charles Scott Solomon of Fallston.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral chapel.
