Richard Frederick Thim

Richard Frederick Thim, 80, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on December 30, 2018, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Towson, MD. Born on December 14, 1938, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Theresa Kunkel Thim. He was the loving husband of Carolyn Ann Marks Thim.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Brian Thim and wife Cheryl, Kathleen Thim, Diane Monzeglio and husband Lewis, and Donna Lang and husband Steve, and three grandsons: Austin, Zachary, and Parker.

After graduating Kenwood High School, Richard proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After honorable discharge, Richard worked as an analyst for the Social Security Administration for over 40 years. During retirement, Richard was an active Reserve Officer for the Natural Resources Police.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 4, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will begin at approximately 7:30 pm.

Interment will take place on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:45 am in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
