Richard "Tommy" Thomas Leonard

Richard Thomas Leonard, born July 9, 1940, passed April 8, 2022, known as Tommy.

Husband of Paula McCarty Leonard. Father of Rona Haddaway and husband Michael; Christopher Leonard and wife Patty; and Ryan Leonard and partner Chris Tolley. Grandchildren Casey Bauman and husband Cody; Morgan Keiner; Jessica Leonard; Mylea Brooks; and Logan Tolley. New great grandfather of Cillian Bauman.

Brother, Raymond Leonard and sister, Anita Williams, and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by mother Betty Finch Leonard; father Harry Raymond; and sisters Eileen and Teresa.

Tommy was a Veteran of the U.S Marine Corp., loving husband, father and grandfather. Also a hard working USPS Letter Carrier for over 40 years with multiple part time jobs to keep him busy. He is known for loving his family dearly, working hard for all, his love of history (especially the Civil War) and being a positive member of society. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, on Tuesday, April 12th from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 13th at 10 am.

Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
