Rick James Bodnar

Rick James Bodnar, 47, of Hanover, PA, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2018, at his home. Born on December 7, 1971, in North Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Robert Lawrence, Sr., and Jeanne Marie Bodnar. He was the husband of Michele Lynn Bull Bodnar.

Rick worked as a woodshop foreman for Maryland Sign Design for many years. He was a very creative, artistic person and enjoyed reading. He loved nature, music, history, astronomy, animals, and his friends and family.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are siblings: Suzanne Schreuer of Westminster, MD, Jessica Blight of Berryville, VA, and Robert L. Bodnar, Jr., of Pittsburgh, PA, numerous nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog: Buddy.

The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Friday, December 21, from 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, at 10 am. Inurnment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
