Robert Jones Bleakley

Robert Jones Bleakley, 90, of Manchester, MD, formerly of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at his home.  Born on December 8, 1933, in Rockdale, MD, he was the son of the late Albert Bleakley and Helen G. Jones Bleakley.  He was the beloved husband of the late Naomi Ruth Elkins, who passed away in 1975.

Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.  He worked in construction as a superintendent, he was a very hard worker.  He enjoyed spending time with his great nieces, nephews, and other family.

He is survived by his stepdaughter: Darlene Elkins, sisters: Nancy Korman and Betty Riddick, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his siblings: Marshal Bleakley, Gertrude Rich, and Mary Jean Wilhelm.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 17, from 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 18, at 11 am, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
