Robert William "Bob" Price

Robert William "Bob" Price, 83, of Hampstead, MD, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home.  Born on September 2, 1940, in Dundalk, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Henry Price and Ann Estock Price.  He was the beloved husband to Barbara Ann Heindel.

Bob was the owner and operator of Captain Bob's Crab House in Manchester, and Captain Willie's Crab House in Upperco. Years ago, he owned Price Trucking. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Bobby Charles Price and wife Shelley of Eldersburg, MD, Patty Martin and husband Randy of Manchester, MD, Shirley Mangold and husband John of Hampstead, MD, grandchildren: Lisa, Brandon, Andrew, John Paul, and great-grandson: Flint.  He is also survived by his siblings: Joe Price of Manchester, MD, Denny Price of New Freedom, PA, Ron Price of Manchester, MD, Rick Price of Hanover, PA, Sharon Kleis of Hampstead, MD, Susan Breslin of Reisterstown, MD, and Linda Evans of Taneytown, MD.

Bob was predeceased by his grandson: Daniel Mangold, and siblings: Jerry Price, Joann Hoster, and Carol Ritter.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 4, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 5, at 11 am at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD, with Father Collin Poston as the celebrant.

Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
