Robert Milton Clark, Sr., 76, of Hampstead died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his home.
Born November 5, 1936 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Francis "Buss" Clark and Thelma Barbara Myers Clark. He was the husband of Doris Shirlyn Welch Clark, his wife of 55 years.
He was an administrator for the State of Maryland. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Order of Demolay where he was a Degree of Chevalier, and he was a 32nd Degree Mason. In addition, he was a member of the Carroll and Baltimore Scottish Rite Organizations and the Tall Cedars Club.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the saxophone, guitar, and bass in his bands The Starlets and The Twilighters where as he was a saxophonist for The Alisea Band, The Shrine Band, and The Cedars Band. He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan as well as the old Baltimore Colts. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and travel with them. He was a collector of sports memorabilia and toy trains as well as he enjoyed working on his model train gardens. Furthermore, he enjoyed spending time at his farm.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Robert M. "Robby" Clark, Jr. and wife Clara Walker, Donna Gail Helie and husband Larry, and Kevin Garth Clark and wife Karen; and his grandchildren Nicole R. Helie and Benjamin Clark Helie.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a Masonic Service will be held at 8 pm.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with The Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.
