Robert Preston Cooper

Robert Preston Cooper, 76, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at his home.  Born on March 20, 1948, in Carroll County, MD, he was the son of the late Arthur Preston Cooper and Theresa Clara Czawlytko Cooper.  He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Joan Lee Martin Cooper.

Robert worked as a machinist for Black and Decker for 20 years. He enjoyed flowers, gardening, and watching the birds and owls.  He liked tractor pulling and going fishing with his grandsons. He was an antique truck enthusiast, and was known as "Mr. Fix-It."

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Robert Allen Cooper and wife Robin of Westminster, MD, Jennifer Werner and husband Allen of Hanover, PA, and grandchildren: Jacob and Justin.  Robert is also survived by his sister: Carol Anne Cooper Davis and husband Jack of Florida, and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 1, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Tuesday, July 2, from 10-11 am, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am.

Interment to follow in Hampstead Cemetery, Hampstead, MD.
