Robert Allan Foster

Robert "Bob" Allan Foster, 84, of Hampstead, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his residence. Born on June 27, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Allan Ashmore and Anna Beatty Foster. He was the husband of Dolores Stewart Foster.

Years ago, Bob was the owner and operator of Foster Development Corporation. He was a devoted member of Hampstead Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Laura J. Krebs and Michael W. Foster, both of Millers, MD, stepchildren: Ronald L. Carwile of Florida, D. Wayne Carwile, Joan C. Carwile, and Gayle Lloyd, all of Virginia, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings: John Foster of South Carolina, Betty Slade of North Carolina, Linda Townsend of Georgia, David Foster of South Carolina, Roger Foster of Pennsylvania, and Barbara Stone of South Carolina.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 24, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A visitation will also be held on Saturday, November 25 from 10:30 am until time of funeral service at 11 am at Hampstead Baptist Church, 328 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074 with the Pastor Chris Brammer officiating. Interment will follow in Hereford Baptist Church Cemetery, Parkton, MD.
