Robert Leroy Hare

Robert Leroy Hare, 84, of Manchester, MD, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 in Westminster, MD. Born on July 10, 1933, he was the son of the late Harvey Sylvester and Florence Shaffer Hare. He was the husband of Doris Shaeffer Hare.

Robert was the co-owner and operator of H&S Plumbing and was a member of Lazarus U.C.C. Years ago, he was a farmer where he worked for Edmund Carr. He also worked for Gray & Son, Hartlaub Furniture, and Frank Stem from where he purchased H&S Plumbing.

Surviving in addition to his wife are siblings: Gladys Hare and Mabel Hare, both of Manchester, MD.

He is predeceased by siblings: Blanche Krebs, Rosella Stonesifer, Arthur Hare, Ernest "Jake" Hare, Preston Hare, and infants: Beula Hare and Virgie Hare.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017, from 10 am-12 pm at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, with a service at 12 noon. Interment to follow in Lineboro Cemetery, Lineboro, MD.
