Robert Colin Jenness Jr., 53, of Westminster died unexpectedly Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Oct. 10, 1954, in Cecil County, he was the son Robert C. Jenness Sr. and the late Pearl Harter Jenness. He was the husband of Teresa Gail Parker Jenness, his wife of 29 years.

He was a network engineer for Naden/Lean Technology. He enjoyed building model airplanes and helicopters, and was currently building his own full size airplane. He enjoyed flying and had recently had his first solo flight as a pilot. In addition, he enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and father, are daughters and son-in-law Melissa and Larry Lavallee of Hanover, Pa., and Heather Jenness of Westminster; a son, Robert C. Jenness III of Westminster; a granddaughter, Katie Lavallee; mother and father-in-law Patricia and Ernest Parker; sisters Jean Scott and Terry Dorothy; a brother, Larry San Boeuf; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Sherri and Joseph Otto and Jeff Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral chapel.
