Robert "Marty" Martin Amundson

Robert "Marty" Martin Amundson, 94, of Finksburg, MD, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at his home. Born on June 16, 1926, in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of the late Omer and Evelyn Riemer Amundson. He was the beloved husband of Christine T. Ferguson Amundson.

Marty graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in journalism. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and he served in WWII obtaining the rank of Quartermaster Third Class. He worked as a sales engineer for Kearney and Trecker for the majority of his life. Marty enjoyed being outdoors, doing yardwork, and fishing. He was also a car enthusiast.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Katherine "Katie" J. Amundson, and Martin "Marty" J. Amundson and wife Susan "Suzy", stepchildren: Diana C. Mullendore, Gary W. Bussard and wife Kathy, and Ricky W. Bussard and wife Glenda, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister: Betty T. Amundson.

Funeral services and interment are private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
