Robert W. McMahon, Sr. 77 years old of Reisterstown, died Friday July 8, 2011 at the Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson.
Born April 26, 1934 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Lester F. McMahon and Emma Schmidt McMahon.
He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Ann J. McMahon, just 2 days prior on July 6, 2011. They were together at Gilchrist Hospice.
He was a retired Master Electrician /Control Technician for WJZ TV, an avid ham radio operator known as W3TRG and was video consultant for the former Baltimore Colts, Baltimore Orioles and New York Jets
Surviving are his children and their spouses: Anne and Jack Graham of Ohio, Robert W. Jr. and Jean McMahon of Carney, Carole and John Delhorbe of Florida and Drew McMahon of Reisterstown. Cousin of Bill Schmidt and his wife Eunice. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother Melvin McMahon.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon.
Entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
