Robert L. Reck

Robert L. Reck, 76, of Westminster, died suddenly Friday, March 2, 2018.  Born July 19, 1941 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Althea (Magin) and Harry Reck. He was the husband of Cleo (Rill) Reck.

He had multiple careers:  he was a high school math teacher for ten years at Mt. Airy High School and South Carroll High School; he was the broker at Reck Real Estate; and he was President of Bear Creek Golf Club. He was a 1959 graduate of Westminster High School and a 1963 graduate of Washington College with a BA in mathematics.  He earned a Master's Degree in Education from Western Maryland College in 1971. In 2005, he was inducted into Washington College's Athletic Hall of Fame for baseball and soccer.  He enjoyed bantering about sports teams with his grandsons.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Deann Reck Tigges of Hilton Head Island, SC, his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Jody Reck of Raleigh, NC, and grandsons, Mark and Brad Tigges of Hilton Head Island, SC.  He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Gerri Reck, his brother, Jim Reck, and in-laws:  Ronnie and Carolyn Leister, Wayne and Cheryl Rill, and Regina Black.   He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Inurnment will be private in Westminster Cemetery.
