Robert Anthony "Tony" McCarthy, 39, of Manchester died unexpectedly on September 2, 2010.
Born October 30, 1970 in Oakland, CA, he was the son of John Paul McCarthy of Mt. Dora, FL and Judith Lee Finneran Foard of Baltimore. He was the husband of Jennifer Ellen Sherman McCarthy, his wife of 19 years whom he married on May 25, 1991.
He was the owner of View Ridge Remodeling and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He was a member of Mayberry Archers. In his spare time, he enjoyed archery, hunting, and the outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his children Tyler C. and Kirsten A. McCarthy of Manchester; his sisters Natalie Brookhart of Pensacola, FL and Heather McCarthy of Reisterstown; his grandmother Mary Finneran; his step mother Kathleen McCarthy of Mt. Dora, FL; his mother in law Arlene Staley of Reisterstown; and also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father in law David Staley.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with the Rev. William Meushaw officiating with a private cremation at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the educational fund for the McCarthy Children; make checks payable to Kirsten A. McCarthy, C/O Jennifer McCarthy 3423 View Ridge Circle, Manchester, MD 21102.
