Robert Leroy Welcher, age 87, of Manchester passed away peacefully, Friday, October 31, 2014 at his home surrounded by his wife and daughter.
Born June 25, 1927 in Staunton, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Welcher and Virginia Bosley Welcher. He was the husband of Betty Lou Dunnigan Welcher, his wife of 69 years.
He was retired from Thomas Bennett Hunter. He was a veteran of the Untied States Navy and a life member of Westminster VFW.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with the Rev. Fr. Michael Roach officiating.
Interment will follow in Lineboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
