Robert B. Yingling, 80, of Manchester, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born Feb. 16, 1929, in Manchester, he was the son of the late Harvey C. and Lillie M. Armacost Yingling. He was the husband of Dorothy Virginia Coppersmith Yingling, his wife of 62 years.
He was a retired shop foreman for The James Walker Co. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester, the Manchester Masonic Lodge, the Westminster Elks and the McSherrystown Moose, and the Republican Club in Hanover, Pa.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Linda Yingling, of Manchester; granddaughter and husband Shelley N. and Craig Frock, of Hanover; a great-granddaughter, Emily N. Frock, of Hanover; a sister, Margaret Zepp, of Manchester; and a brother, Earl Yingling, of Hampstead.
He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Neudecker; and a brother, Melvin Yingling.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Matthew Schenning officiating. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.
