Rodney Lee Leese, Sr.

Rodney Lee Leese, Sr., 68, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at his son's home. Born on July 12, 1949 in Manchester, he was the son of the late Albert and Mary Ruth Kaltrider Leese.

Rodney was a 1967 graduate of North Carroll High School. He worked as a sales person in the automobile industry where he dealt specifically with auto parts and owned several businesses. He was a successful local youth baseball coach during the 1980s. Rodney enjoyed riding his Harley.

Surviving him are his children: Rodney Leese Jr., and wife Brenda of Manchester, MD, Stacey Quillen and husband William of Glenville, PA, and Shannon Gettman and husband Bryan of Spring Grove, PA, grandchildren: Hunter and Hailey Leese, Kaylee, Olivia and Aiden Quillen, and Emily and Matthew Gettman, fiancée: Diane Aberts, and former wife: Elva Alsruhe of Hanover, PA.

He was predeceased by his stepfather: William Nott.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 25, from 7-9 pm and on Friday, January 26, from 10-11 am at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102 where a memorial service will be held at 11 am, with Rev. Michael Adams officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
