Roger Lee Childers, Sr.

Roger Lee Childers, Sr., 71, of Marriottsville, MD, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born on October 7, 1948, in South Carolina, he was the son of the late Walter and Virginia Kathleen Dallas Childers. He was the beloved husband of Linda Diane Childers.

Roger was a jack of all trades, and for many years he owned and operated a lawn and cleaning service. He enjoyed working on cars and caring for all children in general, and he especially loved taking care of his clients' lawns. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Brie Mercedias Childers-Holt and husband Scott, and Daniel Vernon Childers, former daughter-in-law: Deni Starr, grandchildren: Christopher Lee Childers  and fiancée Mandy, and Christina Marie Graff and husband Douglas, siblings: Cecil and wife Martha, Dennis and wife Sheryl, Gary and wife Anne, and Donald and wife Brenda, brothers-in-law: Larry and Mike, a sister-in-law: Debra, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was predeceased by sons: Roger Lee Childers, Jr., and Francis Childers, siblings: Richard, Anne, and Gene, brothers-in-law: Billy and Denny, Sr., and sisters-in-law: Verna, Mary, and Teri.

Services and interment are private. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
