Roland Lee Bosley

Roland Lee Bosley, 90, of Westminster, MD, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Born on December 15, 1930 in Cockeysville, MD, he was the son of the late Joshua G. Bosley, Sr. and Nellie E. Peltzer Bosley. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Rhoda Healey Bosley, who passed away in 2007.

Roland was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and his service included time in Iceland and Japan. He worked at Suburban Propane for 36 years, and for Coffey Music in Westminster for 30 years. Roland was a proud patriot, and enjoyed the role of family patriarch. His interests included genealogy, crossword puzzles, reading and playing pitch with the family. He is remembered for his humble nature, sharp mind, sense of humor, ability to fix anything, and for making little boxes to celebrate holidays and special events. In his later years, "Mr. Lee" enjoyed visiting local businesses and dispensing these boxes filled with chocolates.

Surviving him are daughters: Stephanie L. Bosley and husband Jay Wilson of Brooklyn Park, MD, Claudia A. Coffey and husband Bob of Westminster, MD, Leslie K. Bosley of Overlea, MD; grandchildren: Julia Smith and husband Jesse, Harrison Coffey, Camille Bosley; great-grandchildren: Damien, Olivia, Liam, Lennon; and sister Kathleen Cowman of Reisterstown, MD.

Roland was predeceased by two infant daughters, and siblings: Robert Bosley, Pauline Drawbaugh, June Rutledge, Joshua Bosley, John Bosley, and Nellie J. Cole.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where military honors will be rendered at 4:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the organization of your choice, but you can honor Roland best by loving your family.
