Roland Andrew Schmidt, 80, of Westminster died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born on May 12, 1930 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Carl D. Schmidt and Helen B. Burnham Schmidt.
He was a chemical engineer for the State of Maryland and veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving is his brother Robert Schmidt and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Schmidt Whitcraft.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Thursday until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with Rev. Clarence L. Roark officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Randallstown.
