Russell Ervin Bittner, Jr.

Russell Ervin Bittner, Jr., 70, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born on November 26, 1951 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Russell Ervin Bittner, Sr. and Edith Miller Bittner. He was the beloved husband of Sandra Bittner, this November would have been their 52nd anniversary.

Russell loved spending time with his grandchildren, who knew him as "Pop-Pop," and all 7 of them had their own unique nicknames that they called him. He would stop what he was doing to help anybody with anything. He enjoyed sitting on his porch and talking to people as they passed by. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Dana Bittner-Krideler and husband Michael Krideler, Russell Ervin Bittner, III and wife Sarah, and grandchildren: Emma, Casey, Molly, Mason, Ethan, Gavin, and Paton.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 10, from 10 am – 12 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm.

Interment to follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD.
