Ruth Ella May Kotmair, 82, of Manchester, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, in Baltimore.
Born Sept. 30, 1927, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude May Reed Croissant. She was the wife of Louis Phillip Kotmair, who died in 2007.
She and her husband owned and operated their own home construction company, building homes in Maryland and Florida.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Manchester and the North Carroll Senior Center. She enjoyed line dancing.
Surviving are sisters Eva Arold, of Glen Burnie, and Grace DuVall of Manchester; brother-in-law John B. Kotmair and wife Nancy, of Manchester; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A Requiem Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, 3071 Park Ave., Manchester, with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
